Day 2-Wenatchee

Today was our second day on the road and one of the toughest days of our trip. The day started by leaving early from Skykomish and crossing over the cascades through Stevens pass. The total climb was 3500 ft. and it really wore on most of us. The crew really helped us through the day and it was great to have some encouragement at the top of a long climb.

The ride for the day

The rest of the day into Wenatchee was a breeze being downhill for the rest of the way. We arrived at the Wenatchee community center and unloaded our stuff and quickly cleaned up to prepare for our friendship visit that evening. The team piled into the vans and headed over to a local park for our first on the road friendship visit. Last year the attendance was about 25 people, this year however there were easily three times that amount; it was a fantastic visit and everyone we met was absolutely amazing.
